October 2025 - The Way of Ancient Things
Hello, Adventurers! Katie here with your Alliance LARP Colorado October update! Read on for all kinds of juice information on our season closer event - The Ways of Ancient Things, including site reminders, the meal plan, and an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming plot of the event! Let’s get to it.
This event takes us back to our usual site, to Camp Tumbleson Lake, where we will again be staying at the Sky cabin pod, right next to the tavern and restrooms. - the one with the blue tents much closer to the tavern. This is another event where we expect NO other guests on site (Though a skeleton crew full time is still at site to support guest hosting), and the tavern building all to ourselves! Site details can be found at our new site information page HERE ; Players are welcome to come on site and claim bunks as early as 5pm. Check-in will be at the Apothecary Cabin (The first one in the long row of them), and NPC camp will be located in the Arts and Crafts building. Opening announcements will take place at 9:00pm Friday, followed by a 9:30 soft layon while plot starts to spin the first pieces of content up. The game will run until Sunday at noon; opening and closing announcements will both take place at the Tavern. Please be there on time to receive important site information, and communicate in advance if you will be late so we can keep you in the loop.
Preregistration for the event closes THIS FRIDAY, October 10; please make sure you both purchase your tickets and check in on the CMA before midnight. Tickets are the same as ever, running you $110, $85, and $10 for full PC, NPC Shift, and full NPC tickets respectively and factoring in our prereg discount. Prices go up on Sunday, don’t forget!
As another reminder, our logistics process has been updated, and the changes will be effective starting this event. Please reference those procedures HERE before the event and ensure that you are prepared before you come on site.
Shy has also prepared a fittingly divine menu for the meal plan to accompany the season closer. As usual, you can purchase a ticket giving you 5 meals for just $30 on the shop page; We highly encourage this option for players as kitchen access on site is limited and we always do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions. *Saturday Breakfast: 9:00am to 10:30am French Toast, Sausage, Eggs & Bacon
*Saturday Lunch: 1:00pm to 2:30pm Grilled Cheese & potato Soup
*Saturday Dinner: 7:00pm to 8:30pm Hot dogs w/ buns & toppings (chili, cheese, onions, ketchup/mustard/relish), nachos (tortilla chips, nacho cheese, jalapeños), funnel cake
*Sunday Breakfast: 9:00am to 10:30am Eggs, Bacon, Sausage & Biscuits
Vegetarian Menu:

Now we turn to a plot preview…
The barrier is failing - and with it, the semblance of safety and stability that Willow’s Rest has been enjoying threatens to crumble away into the darkness. Last gather, our heroes delved into the ruins of the Wellandgood Research Station; passing a brutal gauntlet of a citizenship test and earning critical magical resources which may hold the key to salvation. Furthermore, with the horde of cleaning slimes sated on the blood of Tala and Grognak, the ruins once again stand open for adventurers to explore at will.
Beyond the long shadow of Vanaros, other unfinished business remains. The bountiful harvest catalyst, granted in response to the wishes of many at the harvest festival, remains unused. This may be the adventurers’’ last chance to provide a reliable food supply for the people of Willow’s rest before winter sets in. Additionally, the Raucous troupe has promised a return to town before the seasons’ end. Changed fundamentally by the adventurers’ actions last trade, only time will tell what the new face of the troupe will look like. You won’t want to miss out on the thrilling conclusion to ACO’s Season 1!
